In Ecuador, it is an organization in which we can support and recognize as Jewish young people because, for the reality of this community, words “Collegial ” and “Zionist” do not identify totally. This happens for the reason that FUSLA – a small community – is integrated by people from 18 to around 30 years old.
Nowadays, expression “Zionist” involves Jews who defend and explain Israel existence. Under this situation, most of activist Jews become Zionist ones.
The purpose of this group is that Ecuadorian people have a structure, in which we can identify as Jews. It does not matter our religious line, the very fact that we are Diaspora Jews, joins as brothers and sisters.
FUSLA is in charge of everyone has a place to express opinions about any subject related to Israel, Judaism, conflicts in the area, Jewish reality in the world, an the so-called “doing Jewish”. It also joins us in order to share common interests with all the members. |
